Story
Hi, my name is Laurence, I am 13 years old and I have been selected as one of four young people representing the Watford North District at the World Scout Jamboree in 2019.
The Jamboree will be held at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia, and I'm so excited to be a part of this. 40,000 young people involved in scouting will be there!
I need to fund raise £2250 to take part, cost is split into all the aspects of me getting there, taking part and returning home but also some of the money raised is used to fund Scouts from poorer countries who would otherwise be unable to attend.
Over the next 18 months I will be baking & selling cakes, washing cars, packing bags, running quiz nights, taking part in sponsored events and offering scouted related activity days to the community around Watford North. This page is just part of a wider fund raising adventure that I'm taking part in.

6 years agoThank you again for all your support. Laurence is very happy with all the sponsorship & it’s a great help to get him to the USA next year. We’ve packed away the tent and now he’s happy to be sleeping in his own bed permanently 😊

6 years agoThank you so much to everyone who has donated to Laurence so far. He is doing well and has taken part in several events such as the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, selling refreshments at Scout events and he's now a quarter of the way through his "sleeping in a tent" challenge. There's lots more to do, but it's a good start and so far he's raised about £600 towards the final total of £2250.
