LETS GET HARRY TO LONDON.
It came to my attention last week that a WW2 Submariner had been robbed whilst at home in Wigan. Harry Melling served for 8 years in the SM service and unfortunately a youth robbed him of his wallet. I visited Harry on Monday whilst travelling up from Portsmouth and he is a true Gentleman. I asked him whether or not he had heard of the Submariners Remembrance Parade in London? He hadn't but seemed extremely interested. I have now promised Harry that we will get him, his niece and nephew to London and he is overjoyed at the thought.
To that end, I (we) need to raise around £500 to make this happen.
