Bator Tabor (that literally means 'Camp of Courage') is a member of the Paul Newman founded international SeriousFun Children's Network. Bator Tabor is committed to help children affected with serious illnesses, such as cancer, diabetes, haemophilia, JRA and Crohn disease, to give something back they lost due to their condition: their childhood and the chance to feel "normal" again. At the camp they have the opportunity to meet other young people with the same condition and build friendship with them. Via the therapeutic recreational activities, all the things they might have never been able to try, such as horse riding, kayaking, high rope activities, archery, and so on, they gain their self confidence back, they realise that there are nothing they can not do and if a problem occur, there is always a solution to solve it. After leaving the week long camp, they return to their everyday life as a stronger, more confident young individual.

As the healthy eating is very much promoted in camp, and because we have all been sucked into the evil sugar cycle, I have decided to break out and change my lifestyle: in the next months I am going to work hard to quit sugar and live more active life. I am dedicating my commitment to Bator Tabor and raising £500 (or more :) ) for them.
