    Story

Liz Wright was the type of drama teacher who was loved by everyone, never failing to make us smile. Sadly on 5th Sepember 2017 she passed away after losing her battle with cancer. I, among hundreds of others, miss her dearly and want to honour her life and memory as she truly changed all of our lives. Without her, I never would have such a strong passion for the theatre and acting. School productions were a highlight of my secondary school experience and I can never thank her enough for pushing me to audition for them. We will never forget her. Fact.

I decided I wanted to do something to remember her so after a visit to the Mayflower, the idea came to me about getting a seat plaque for Miss Wright as she loved the theatre.

I'm planning on getting the 10 year plaque which costs £500. It will be installed summer 2018 for the reopening of the Mayflower after the refurbishment to celebrate its 90th year. Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated for this.

*£273.25 HAS BEEN RAISED SO FAR OUTSIDE OF THIS PAGE SO THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE WHO DONATED AT THE MEMORIAL + AFTERWARDS*

Because money has been raised outside of this already, I've changed the target on here to £250 instead as that is roughly how much is left to be raised (justgiving does deduct from the final total so what actually goes to the seat plaque is less).

If the £500 is surpassed,  I  can  arrange  a  seat  plaque  at  the  Nuffield  Theatre  for  £250. Again, if that is passed (I have no idea how much will be made on here), I will get in contact with her family for them to decide what they would like the money to go to.
