Story
We as most are fed up with developers that see ££££ rather then the life of those living in already built up areas !
We live in a little estate between Eriswell and Lakenheath. The nearest parks to us anyone would have to drive to and for those that rely on public transport this is then simply impossible and unfair on our children.
Our local council states that is just simply does not have the funds to build one.
The devolopers of lords walk/earlsfield/radcliffe have said they would build three parks.... one that on there plan shows one set of swings and two slides.... these other so called parks are just seating areas.... over green land that is used by majority of local residents. From dog walkers, joggers, people out for a stroll, children to run and play and most of all familys that like to go and fly a kite, have a picnic, play football and play catch.
Now you would think what is wrong with having parks built for us ?!?
As there architects have kindly told us is that to fund those "parks" they have to build 20-40 houses to sell to fund that project !!!! These are to be built on that green land.
If we can raise the funds and get the planning permission for our own park then they have no need to build houses to build us a park !!
I for one do not want to live around a building site let alone loose the space we have !!
