My story

I am setting up this just giving page in memory of my dear friend cath garbutt who recently took her own life on january the 1st 2018 due to a very long battle with terminal cancer.

Cath was a very fun and out going, loving, caring and very kind person who was loved by many people and will be sorely missed.

Caths battle with cancer started round about 5 years ago. Cath found out she had cancer and just wanted to be treated as herself she never wanted to be treated like 'the women with cancer'. Cath lived her normal everyday life and took each day as it came by. She had great days and not so great days but the strength and patience she had was something else.

Cath was a beloved wife to tony garbutt and amazing mum to her two boys adam & ben and also just recently become nanna her grandson liam who was the life and soul of her every day.

Caths family was her everything and they gave her the help and support she needed to get her through her everyday to the best they could. Being caths friend was a gift i got that couldnt be replaced with anything and im glad i had the honour of having cath as a friend and as part of my family and life.

I have so much respect for all the families out there that have went through this horrible situation and have lost loved ones to this horrible disease. People who have fought and battled hard and lost and also to people whos families have had to watch them suffer day by day and couldnt do a thing to help.

Ive wrote this story in hope that there are some people out there that can give a little to support caths family at this heartbreaking time to fund costs for her funeral as money is very tight like most of you will know everyone struggles through times like this, mentally physically and financially and it would be very much appreciated if everyone could share my story and please donate whatever you can in caths memory.
