Story
I will not touch any alcohol in the month of January
My friend's son George Hatfield was born on 18th July 2017 and at just 7 weeks he was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia - a life threatening liver disease with no cause and no cure. It is the leading cause of liver transplant in children. This is a life long fight. Before and after transplant fighters face a variety of complications and painful procedures.
George has since had many hospital stays at Basildon Hospital and the staff have been an amazing help and support to George and his family throughout.
I am aiming to raise money for The Polly Parrot Appeal which raises funds for the children’s wards at Basildon Hospital including the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and children’s oncology. Money raised from the appeal will be spent on decoration, distraction equipment, sensory equipment, toys, child-friendly furniture, TVs and other electronic gadgets. You can read more about the appeal here: http://www.basildonandthurrock.nhs.uk/fundraising/polly-parrot-appeal
