On the 30th of July, i will be taking part in the Big Fun run a 5K around Holyrood Park in edinburgh. I will be doing this for Appaws for Autism which is a charity that wish to help create Acceptance, provide Advocacy and promote Awareness for all children/adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) within society and communities everywhere. To support them and their families through their journey and promote a better, more effective education and continue to spread awareness of autism in all sectors of life. They are also the only facility in Scotland to provide autism assistance/therapy dogs or autism service training, to autistic families.
After working in a special needs school in Edinburgh for a year, Autism spectrum disorder was a massive part of my journey and now i feel i want to give back to the children that helped me grow as a person.
Doesn't matter how big or small the donation is, every little penny helps and it goes to a great cause!
