Me and My Family think that It would be an idea, instead of buying flowers, cards etc. That the money you would use for this, you donate to Bassetlaw Hospice.

Just over 5 years ago, Mum was diagnosed with a Grade 4 rare type of Brain Tumour. Which for the last 5 years, Mum has fought and fought, operation after operation, Chemo, Radiotherapy until there was no further treatment.

Since this time, Mum has visited Bassetlaw Hospice on a weekly basis, to their Day Centre. Mum absolutely loved her time, meeting others suffering, making friends and memories.

Mum then took a turn for the worse, and was admitted to the Hospice for a number of weeks. During this time, Mum always spoke highly of the staff at the Hospice. Especially about how caring and compassionate they were.

The Hospice Team were also great with my Nan and Grandad, always comforting them. The Community Team at the Hospice and the Pallitive Care Nurses have been amazing, supporting Mum to come home, and spend the last few weeks of her life with her family and loved ones.

Without the Community Hospice Team, we wouldn't have been able to manage caring for Mum at Home.

Mum recently lost her battle, and I therefore think that donating money for the Hospice in my Mum's memory would be an amazing way for them to remember her. The money we will raise will support the Hospice to continue their valued work, and care for others loved ones.
