The beautiful month of Ramadan is upon us, full of blessings, mercy and forgiveness. We begin to refrain from food & water; gain in spirituality & patience over a period of 30 days to understand the blessings God has given us and assist those who are in need.

"They ask you (O' Muhammad) what they should spend; say: 'Whatever you spend that is good, (from your material and spiritual wealth to avail) for parents, relatives, the orphans, the needy, and the traveller; and whatever you do that is good, verily Allah is All-Knowing of it'." [Quran, 2:215]

Thirty days without food or water is only but a short period of time for us. However, volunteers for Lady Zainab Helping Hands (LZHH) with WF-Aid have visited and seen first-hand the unspeakable conditions men, women and children are living through in Syria on a daily basis; it is heart-breaking to say the least. The reality for the people of Syria is truly horrific, with the constant fear of being bombed, homes destroyed and family members killed. Your generous donations will support the orphans, widows and displaced families of the Sayyida Zaynab (sa) area of Damascus, Syria by providing them with their basic human needs including food, water, shelter, clothes and medical aid.

We have set up this page for those who can assist monetarily in any way they can.

To get the local community involved this weekend we are holding a charity Funday to assist the tireless work LZHH with WF-Aid are undergoing to help the needs of the people of Syria.
