Hi,

I boldly decided to volunteer in South Africa with International Volunteer HQ, an organisation established in 2007, which has grown to become the world’s leading volunteer travel company, working in over 40 destinations around the world and placing thousands of volunteers abroad every year.

I chose the Surf Outreach project, where I will be working with children aged between 9 and 15 years old, who come from disadvantaged backgrounds where poverty, abuse and violence is not uncommon. I will provide a positive influence to these children and help build their self-confidence by providing them with an opportunity to spend their free time in a healthy and productive way.

This fundraiser will cover the fee that IVHQ receives to run as an organisation and facilitate my volunteer trip, as well as the expenses associated with my stay in South Africa, to ensure that my volunteer program goes as smoothly as possible.
