I have decided to attempt to fulfill a 'life goal' by running a marathon. So I have entered the Milton Keynes Marathon on 7th May 2018.

In doing so I thought why not help a great cause along the way. There are loads of deserving and worthwhile charities, but I wanted to help a local charity that helps children. So I have chosen to run on behalf of the Young Lives Foundation. They do excellent work and they could really use our help and support.

The Young Lives Foundation are a Kent based charity supporting children in care, children in need, care leavers, young offenders, NEET young people, families in need/young parents, vulnerable adults, and children who have been adopted.

The charity helps over 3,000 young people each year, through a network of close to 200 volunteers, and needs help to raise the funds required to provide the support to our volunteers and the vulnerable young people in Kent.

Many young people just need someone to talk to, and do not have a reliable adult role model in their lives. With your support, YLF will ensure that every young person in need shall have access to the resources and opportunities needed for them to achieve their potential and lead fulfilled lives.
