In August I went to volunteer for Global Orphanage Trust in Faridabad, India. Volunteering in the local orphanages, Teaching English to women of a variety of ages, Teaching English in the slum schools and volunteering in a Facility for Disabled Children and Adults. The projects rely on help from sponsorships and volunteers from overseas to continue. A little goes a very long way, I've seen the huge impact this charity makes and to keep it on going, funding is needed from anyone who would like to make a difference would be incredibly valued. Seeing the severity first hand, I feel obliged to express how such small change to us (£1 or £2) can make such a difference. Just four £2 donations can feed a whole school located in the very centre of poverty for a day. The money will also be used to buy interactive resources for the Facility for Disabled children and adults which incredibly underfunded.
