I have been provided an amazing opportunity of an expedition to Cambodia in 2018. I will be 15 years old. The reason that I asked my parents if I could go was that I see it as an experience what will have an impact on my life, whilst I will be giving my time to help the children and communities in Cambodia. I enjoy school and sports yet many children in Cambodia do not have access to education of any kind. All children should be able to have an education.

33% live below the poverty line
30% of the population have no access to fresh drinking water.

Education shouldn't be a value it should be a gift for the youth of our world. I want to help them get what they deserve, brick by brick, layer after layer. Everyone deserves an education as it is the most important thing in our world. I would like to help by being involved in building new classrooms for the children, constructing housing for the impoversihed families and installing new water supplies to ensure children have fresh clean drinking water. The cost of this expedition is just under £4000 and I will be undertaking several events ie cake sales to help raise money to fund this.
