Story
Whitehaven Theatre of Youth is a non profit organisation run by volunteers. Through drama, music and dance it helps children to become confident individuals, form friendships with other, like-minded children and give them good grounding for their future whether it be in performing arts or just to give them the confidence to stand up in front of people to be seen and heard. We have two units that cost us to rent and maintain so we need to fundraise all year round. This is why some of us, including Amy Morton and myself, are doing the Great North Run to help fund this group to keep it going and help the children of West Cumbria.

7 years agoGetting closer now and far too real. Really pleased with the sponsorship we have received so far and going we can get a little more. Very, very nervous about Sunday and dreading the after effects over the following week but it will all be worth it if we can raise funds for the youth group. X

7 years agoThis time next week we'll have done an early morning drive to Newcastle and will be in the middle of registering for the run! I'm not ashamed to say I am absolutely dreading it and the pain I will be suffering during and after the run. However, if it halos raise funds for the group it will all be worth it. Please try and spare a few pence to sponsor us and I promise this will be the last time I'll beg for a long time! Thanks x
