    Story

🚴🏼‍♂️ 400 mile Bike Ride from Gillingham to Winchester, in Memory of Mark Humphrys (1962-2022) 🚴🏼‍♂️

Last year, our dear Mark Humphrys lost his life to Pancreatic Cancer. He was a devoted family man and part of his local community and everyone he knew was deeply saddened by his unexpected death at 59 years old.

As a way to commemorate Mark's life, his friend and fellow Anchorians Rugby team mate Steve Kyle will be joining Mark's brother Richard for a marathon sponsored bike ride. The ride will take place from the 1st-4th June and cover 400 miles! After setting off at Gillingham Anchorians Rugby club, the pair will visit Kent, East & West Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire before reaching Winchester RFC (Mark's first rugby club).

All funds raised will be donated to a local Supported Living organisation where William, Mark's wonderful son, lives with his friends. William was born with learning difficulties and Mark dedicated 24 years caring for his every need. He was fiercely passionate about William having the best support system he possibly could and fought constantly to make William's life happy and fulfilling. In Mark's honour we will use donations improve quality of life for William and his friends by enhancing their environment and providing leisure activities.

Steve and Richard appreciate any support you are able to give through what will be a tough physical and mental challenge!

Let's Make Mark proud boys! 🚴🏼‍♂️
