    Story

Mark Ibison and brother John will cycle the 500-mile ‘Way of St James’ from St Jean Pied de Porte in France to Santiago de Compostela in N.W. Spain, where St James the Apostle is buried. It has been a pilgrim route since before the Middle Ages.

Will you sponsor Mark to support the ‘Rwanda Group Trust’, in memory of RGT founder, Joe Bamber?

Rwanda Group Trust is a Preston-based charity whose aim is to alleviate poverty at the very lowest levels in Rwanda through a network of local committees. We help in the areas of health, education, food and shelter. We are independent of government bodies and politicians. RGT is now over 25 years old.

Dear Supporters, Your encouragement helped us 'over the line' and we finally made it to Santiago on Tuesday 28 June, after not a few adventures! The effects of the extreme heat of the first days, which included the Pyrenees crossing, made it essential to fit in a 'rest and recovery' period in the middle of the journey; but we were then able to catch up and complete the trip, the weather in Galicia to the West being considerably cooler. On behalf of RGT, thank you all for your most generous support!
