Story
Our commitment to the young people of the streetly area has led us to create a special place where we can both run our activities and offer the facilities to the community. Over 13 years we have raised funds to buy the land and design and almost complete our building. Out of the total cost of £500,000 we have received grants of £98,000, taken a loan of £100,000, the reminding coming from the fundraising efforts of our group some £267,000. This funding will go along with completion of the project, which will enable us to change the lives of more young people. Our intention is to aid the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our Young people, by providing positive activities such as abseiling, canoeing, archery, climbing, pioneering, please advise, first aid, interview skills, cooking, mechanics, and many more. This project is needed as with all of the local council cuts that is a distinct lack of youth facilities. This facility will be available for the entire community of all ages for a wide range of activities. We need this funding so that we can complete the building and to help the dream come alive for the community
