CAMERAS 4 KIDS APPEAL

For the last 2 years my wife, Linda, and I have been travelling to Africa with a team from our Church (Kingsgate Community Church, Peterborough) to work with a children's Charity in Swaziland.

Swaziland is sadly the AIDS capital of the world and because of this terrible disease many thousands of children have been left orphaned, many with nobody to care for them.

The good news is that a charity set up a safe haven to help these vulnerable children. The town of Bulembu is now a place where children who had no hope of a future, now have a safe home, 24/7 care, school education, food, clothing and HOPE of a bright future.

For the past 2 years we have been helping them to produce promotional photos and videos that will engage current sponsors and encourage new ones to give and support this wonderful work.

What we can achieve in 2 weeks while we are there is obviously very small.

This year we would like to give the charity some cameras and teach them how to use them so that they will be able to produce their own photos and videos.

This equipment will not only help to produce further funding to care for the children but will be used to teach the older children how to take photos and videos for themselves. Giving them an opportunity that they could have only dreamed of!

Will you please help us to fund the equipment for the children?

We are looking to provide them with a minimum of 2 digital SLR cameras, memory cards, batteries, tripods, microphones and editing software.

Should we receive more than this we have a full shopping list of equipment including an additional higher spec camera, laptop computer and other items.

Please contact us if you would like to give a significant amount of money or purchase a particular item as we can arrange a PR package for you with photos of the children receiving and using the item you have donated along with your company logo and a letter of thanks from the charity.

We are travelling to Swaziland in November so need to raise the funds by 27th October to source the kit before we go.

100% of the money we receive will go towards the equipment for the children of Bulembu.
