My name is Megan and I'm a student at Rainford Sixth Form and have volunteered to take part in this years Ghana project. This project aims to help underprivileged children and children in poverty.
The focus of our expedition is to build a stem research centre to add to the children’s learning facilities. This will benefit the children a lot because they'll be introduced to science, technology, maths and engineering.
When we are not building the STEM centre, we will also be going to local schools and villages and talk to children and teachers to see what help we can give to them next year as this project goes on every year.
In order to do this, we are planning on raising as much money as possible, so that we can travel to Ghana and help with this amazing opportunity to make a change! This money will be going towards: flights, building equipment, clean drinking water, books and computers.
Please help me to achieve my goal. It's an eye opening experience that will benefit me in gaining a different perspective of what other peoples lives are like.
Many Thanks :)
