Story
Mersey Mavericks Basketball Club was established in September 2016 to provide community basketball sessions. We are located at St. Hilda's CE High School between Toxteth and Aigburth.
We are developing sections in all junior age groups for both boys and girls. However, our Mini Mavericks section which caters for our primary aged children has grown from 3 to over a 100 each week!! As a club we managed to fund our first kit. We are now being invited to lots of tournaments and that first kit can only be used for 12 children.......
So our problem is that we regularly travel to tournaments now with 50 children and our young people have to wear t-shirts while the other teams are wearing smart kits!
So if you choose to support us you will be helping our young people look smart and feel part of our Club.

7 years agoWow! We have some very generous friends. Thank you so much for your support so far. Our Mini Mav's have two competitions this coming week. We have 25 playing tomorrow night and 50 on Saturday!!! As we only have one Mini kit with 16 sets of kit and then one junior (12) and one senior kit (12), I think we are going to have to be creative for next weekend! It's all part of the fun of running a club. Please keep sharing!! Kate x
