On the 24th September i am running the Stafford 10k in memory of Jacob.

I am looking at raising money for the Neonatal Ward at North Staffs Hospital which holds a very special place in my heart and where our little boy spent six days of his very short life.

Jacob was born on the 29th April 2010 when he was born he had a perfect heartbeat but unfortunalty was not breathing due to being starved of oxygen during labour. Jacob was transfered to the Neonatal Ward in North Staffs where he was put on all kinds of machines to keep him alive and breathing but unfortunatly when he was 6 days old we had to make the decision to turn all the machines off and to see if he would breath on his own but Jacob's brain was severely damaged and he could not breath on his own and after a couple of hours after we bathed and dressed him he passed away peacefully in my arms on May 5th 2010.

Any money raised will go towards any equipment needed for the fantastic staff to help them with their job looking after the poorly babies.
