Mike Beech, the founder of the Clwyd League, passed away suddenly on Saturday 30 December 2017. Mike was a huge figure in local Welsh football, and gave the start for many football teams, players, managers and referees who had just started in the game. Mike dedicated his life to grass roots football, single handedly running the whole structure of the league through adult and veterans football giving up his time as a volunteer so that we can all enjoy the passion of playing, officiating and spectating football at a grass roots level.
