I'm running the Cardiff Half Marathon! Why???

As most of you know... Our 7 year old little boy, Jac Griffin has faced enormous challenges since birth including having his spleen removed at 4 months old at GOSH, respiratory arrest in Oxford JR at 18 months as well as much more with development.

Jac attends the STF (Specialist Teaching Facility) at Morriston Primary School. Since joining the school, he has developed by leaps and bounds. The staff there are fantastic and dedicate their time to support Jac and others like him in his class.

Jac can now communicate with us, both verbally and via sign language and is developing a wealth of skills that we all take for granted.

With a bit more support, the school can buy more things to help, take them out on trips and enable each and every day at school be an opportunity to take another major step. For example, outside play items have helped Jac's mobility, core strength and has enabled him to gain confidence. £500 can buy a wide range of outdoor play items!

To help support the school, I have decided to run the Cardiff Half Marathon in October. Those who know me realise how much of a challenge this will be for me to even survive!!
