I am cycling the width of England, 330km from the Isle of Sheppey to Burnham on Sea from sunrise to sunset on the longest day of the year, 19th June 2021.

This ride will be in aid of The Portsmouth Grammar School’s link school in Uganda to raise funds to support Teacher Education as well as maintain the school buildings and be a safe place of learning for the children.

I have been building up to this event over the last year as a personal challenge and hoping that by sharing the journey and cycling at school it will inspire the students to get out and be active. On Monday 24th May we launched a 4-week challenge as a school community, aiming to cycle the distance (6450 km!) from Portsmouth to Kikaaya College School. To kick start the challenge I cycled 200km in 6 hours and 51 minutes in the school quad on Monday. The PGS community challenge will culminate with me taking part in the Chase the Sun ride.
