As-salāmu ʿalaykum all,

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon -
"Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return"

Mustanser Khan, 25 returned to Allah, his Creator, his Lord on Friday 30th December 2016. Mustanser was a kind and loving grandson, son, brother, cousin and nephew – who left us all peacefully in his sleep. Majority of the family across the US and UK were fortunate enough to spend a memorable summer with him, where fond memories and moments were captured, which undoubtedly will be cherished forever.

In memory of Mustanser, we would like to build a well in form of Sadaqah Jariyah, from which he will gain continuous rewards inshaAllah.

As a believer, when a man passes away, all his deeds come to an end except 3 things:
1. Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity)
2. Knowledge which is beneficial
3. Virtuous descendant who prays for him

The Quran serves us a reminder that Death is inevitable, it is the one thing that we can be certain about in life. We are born to die and every soul shall taste death. Whilst we mourn the loss of a great soul, we should also reflect and take this as a reminder; the Angel of Death could be upon anyone of us at any time. We should work on improving our character, increasing our knowledge and strengthening our Iman (faith).

May I request everyone to please remember Mustanser in their duas/prayers - May Allah forgive his sins, enlighten his spacious grave, grant him Jannat al Firdous and allow him entry in to the gardens of paradise to share with all the other amazing people we have lost in our family. May Allah give his parents and sibling’s sabr and strength to overcome this pain – Ameen.
