On the 26th may I am running an already sold out charity golf day that we will raise funds for Meals & More but keeping it in the family my wife will run her first ever Marathon the following day in Edinburgh for the vey same cause:

Meals & More is a nationwide charitable programme, driven by Brakes and many of its suppliers, that supports holiday clubs for children in some of the most deprived areas of the UK.
That children should still be going hungry in the 21st century, and in one of the richest countries on the planet, is nothing short of outrageous. With millions of pupils on free school meals in England, Wales and Scotland, it is recognised that these children and their families need support - but in the school holidays, these same children could go as long as 6 weeks in a row without a decent meal.
Without access to regular, nutritious meals there may be detrimental impacts on children's physical and mental development, which can hinder their ability to achieve their full potential.
Since Meals & More launched in 2015, it has grown to support over 150 clubs run by local delivery partners in their communities, providing tasty, nutritious food and enrichment activities. Support from our suppliers is a fundamental part of this, and will continue to be as we look to our target of 500 UK clubs. Each pound raised funds one more meal, or contributes to the PhD we support at Northumbria University (researching the effects of holiday hunger and holiday club provision).
Alongside the rest of Brakes, supplier supporters, delivery partners, MPs and others from the food industry, Meals & More is now fuelling a growing movement aimed at tackling UK child food poverty.
