Weʼre raising £4,000 to build a School Boarding House by Trekking in Nepal this November.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
THE CAUSE – WORLD YOUTH INTERNATIONAL
WYI has provided access to basic services such as healthcare and education for more than15,000 people. Their school, in Gokarna, Nepal, caters for students up to year 10 and currently has over 500 students. With support from Computershare, the WYI school will be extended to include schooling for year 11 and 12 students.
Trek Nepal 2018 is raising funds to go towards the construction of a hostel allowing these year 11 and 12 students to live on campus and attend the WYI school.
THE TREK – GHOREPANI POON HILL
WYI will put 30 Computershare employees from 11 of their Global offices through their paces on a Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal, this November.
100% of the funds raised will go directly to WYI. All travel costs/expenditure will be covered by Computershare and my colleagues taking part in the Nepal Trek. In return, each of the us are tasked with raising £4000 over the coming months to fund the building of the WYI Boarding School.
THE HISTORY - CHANGE A LIFE CHARITY
Founded nearly ten years ago, the Change A Life foundation was set up so the global Computershare community could focus on long-term change that would be felt on a global stage and provide an opportunity for people to build up their skills for a brighter future.
