Mike is a good friend and trying to do his bit to thank those that helped him, fundamentally it isn't about the size of your house or the age of your car that will define you, it is the acts of kindness. The money will go to the hospital units and carers listed below.

A message from Mike

On Saturday 9th December at 17:18 we welcomed Albert Michael Simmonds, known as Bertie, into the world. He was born at 17:18 and weighed a little 2lbs 6oz. Bertie was born at 27 weeks and 3 days and has been doing fantastically well and fighting away. He was moved to Bristol St. Michael’s hospital shortly after he was born where they have more specialist care. He spent 8 days in Bristol and as he improved he came back to Intensive Care at Gloucester Hospital Neonatal Unit, where we still are.Everyone involved has been fantastic and have been looking after him wonderfully well. Bertie is now 3 weeks old and continues to improve. We are fully aware that there will be good days and difficult days and certain things are being monitored however he is being a little 🌟Thank you very much to our friends and family who have been fantastic and supported us more than could be imagined. Also, massive thanks to Gloucester Hospital Maternity, Gloucester Hospital Neonatal Unit, The Nest Team (http://www.nestteam.org/), St.Michaels’ Neonatal Unit in Bristol and Cots for Tots (https://www.cotsfortots.org.uk/home-page).
