Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
Nick is undertaking an open water swim in Cape Town, South Africa in early February. My dad, brother and I (and some other good people whom I haven't met yet) are swimming from Robben Island across to the main land. 4 miles (give or take) in the South Atlantic Ocean. Yes it's cold water and sharks are a possibility, but apparently they have time off around Feb!
I using this swim to raise money for two local Dorset charities who can use our donations to help children and families who are struggling.
Imagine a child with cancer, anyone with cancer is bad enough, but a child....or imagine being aged 5 - 18 and having to put your childhood, schooling or friendships on hold so that you can care for a sibling, parent or relative on a daily basis. Take a moment to let that digest!
The charities are:
Poole and District Childrens Cancer Fund https://www.pdccf.org/about_us
My Time Young Carers Charity https://www.mytimeyoungcarers.org/what-we-do
I am taking this opportunity to use my freedoms, health, ability and gratitude for these concepts to highlight the fact that there are children and families out there suffering. It would be great to make a donation towards the charities so that a difference to a child's life can be made.
On a large scale, a small amount from everyone can go a long way. I know it's a tough time for everyone in one way or another, money is tight, but charities across the board need assistance now more than ever. Your kind donations will go directly to these two charities and hopefully do something to brighten up someones day!
Don't for get to GiftAid it!
Thank you for your kindness. :)
Nick

1 year agoThanks again everyone, can’t believe the success you have all created. 2 charities have a share of £3200 that they didn’t have before. So grateful, your support and what the charities do really helped me get through the swim. Thanks again. Nick
