Weʼre raising £1,000 to raise funds for the Air Cadet Association.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
WHO AM I RAISING FUNDS FOR?
The Air Cadet Association (ACA). The ACA was formed to provide welfare support to current and former members of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC) in times of hardship. You can find out more about the ACA here: https://rafaca.uk
WHAT AM I GOING TO BE DOING?
2018 is the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force, so through a combination of walking and gym equipment (running machine and exercise bike) I am aiming to achieve 100 miles every week, until I’ve eventually completed 2187 miles. 100 miles a week may be a walk in the park for some people, but it’s a challenge for me, especially with young family, busy work schedule and daily commute… oh, and time spent on RAFAC duty.
I’ll be starting this in early April, and plan to complete this by about Battle of Britain Day in September (to allow for family holidays and camp). Why 2187 miles? This is a nod to my old Squadron number, where it all started for me.
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
Good question – I’m asking this too! I joined the Air Cadets in 1987 and it has been a huge part of my life, and provided me many amazing opportunities. I want to help raise awareness of this great organisation, and raise funds for ‘our’ charity. I drink too much wine and eat too much pizza and my uniform is a little tight at times, so hopefully there will be some side benefits!
HOW MUCH AM I HOPING TO RAISE
I’m setting a target of £1000, but it would be amazing if I can raise more! You can follow my progress on Twitter @CorpsSTEM .
Thanks for your support
