On september 30th 2020 cole was diagnosed with metetastic medulloblastoma grade 4 brain tumour. On the 5th october 2020 cole underwent a 7 hour brain surgery where they operated on posteria fossa craniotomy and debulking of 4th venticular tumour. Hes undergone 30 rounds of radiotherapy to his head and spine at The christie manchester where cole had to be put to sleep every day monday to friday For 6 weeks. He‘s undergone a stem cell harvest where hes had to sit on machine for hours while he has his cells collected so he could have a stem cell transplant on his 4 rounds of chemo. On the 14th january cole started high dose chemotherapy Where hes been pumped with drugs and 4 different chemotherapy drugs which has made him incredably poorly. He‘s had a stem cell transplants to help him recover a little quicker but this has made him even more poorly. Cole finished his third round of chemo 4 weeks ago And wont b able to have his last dose due to round 3 putting him in intensive care on a ventilator for 3 weeks as his lungs had a fungus in them. We nearly lost cole as he didnt have any immune system to fight what was wrong with him. Due to all the treatment cole has lost mobility and has become very weak. while dealing with all this hes had to remain in machester childrens hospital while the world is going through a pandemic. Hes not been allowed any visitors. Hes not seen his brother and sister, family or friends.
