Ella is a beautiful girl, who has Rett Syndrome. What is Rett Syndrome?

Imagine the symptoms of Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy and Anxiety Disorder… all in one little girl!

Then imagine being trapped inside your own body and not be able to communicate with the outside world. Simple communication we take for granted to ask for a drink, tell someone you are too hot in bed or have a headache. This is an everyday reality for our 11 year old Ella.

There is hope and a future for Ella to communicate. As Ella is unable to use her hands or speech, using an eye controlled speech generating device has the ability to unlock her potential.
Many girls with Retts have successfully used eye gaze systems to communicate. Using such a device, Ella would at last be able to tell us some of her thoughts, wishes and needs, which would transform her life.
