Story
On 7/8 July, Charlie, Tim, Simon and Olly will be completing the Ridgeway in a Day, ably supported by Chris and Mike.
We're a group of serving soldiers and veterans aiming to complete the entire Ridgeway in under 24 hours - running the first 43 miles and cycling the second 43 miles.
We're raising money for the brilliant Wharf Kids (wharfkids.org), an amazingly effective charity providing a secure future for Ebola orphans in the Magazine Wharf district of Freetown.
With almost no administrative overheads, Wharf Kids has a huge impact on the children it supports by funding and supporting their education.
Please help us to help them by sponsoring our creaking joints and bones as we drag them across the ancient hills of the Ridgeway.

6 years agoThanks to everyone for your wonderful support. We made great progress on the first phase of the event and completed the first 43 miles on foot in around eleven hours before jumping on our bikes. However, after sixteen miles in the saddle and facing temperatures of 30 degrees + , we reluctantly took the decision to finish before the end in the name of safety. We really appreciate your support for the work of Wharf Kids and hope that you feel you got your money’s worth; it certainly felt like it!
