Story
For a School Project I decided to volunteer in a third world country, my choice was supporting a football Project in Ghana. During my time in Ghana, I worked with quite a few other volunteers, most of whom were working with educational Projects. As a result, I spent some time supporting them in the local schools which included teaching and painting the schools....all of course funded by the volunteers. In the area where we were helping, the key issue was insufficient school places resulting in the children being out on the street and not receiving any education. To all of us coming from a good background this was a big issue and we found a company which directly addresses this problem by funding extra school places and supporting the children in the first few months to get them ready for the school environment. As I believe this is a worthy cause, I am taking part in a triathlon to raise money to ket the kids into school and give them the chance of a successful future.
