Summer is calling on YOU the community to not only help get unneeded knives off our streets but to also help raise much-needed funds to provide young people who are in danger, with a variety of safe, monitored activities during the summer holidays.

There is a massive shortfall in funding for youth activities and services which has contributed to the rise in violent crime particularly Knife crime amongst young people. Most importantly the number of young lives lost almost daily for no reason has to stop! We the local community need to act now!

OTTV in conjunction with London Media charity Community Youth London (CYL) has launched the 'Safe Summer' Campaign. This project is a collaboration between charities, entertainers, organisations and the public to raise funds to provide much-needed funding to grassroots organisations who provide summer activities to keep our children safe with an ongoing a campaign to help stop young people seeing knives as an option.

We have all seen the knife crime epidemic grow to alarming levels and with the summer approaching are all concerned with a) what activities are available to young people and b) the safety of each young person. With your help, we can provide safe and fun activities across London.

Your donation will contribute to the provision of:

 Promotion and participation in the planned knife crime amnesty week in London. including the meltdown of knives collected to create a public statue in memory

 Provide Grass Roots organisations with much-needed funding to provide activities

 Funding to create community networks and partnerships

 Drive the local SAFE STREET campaign in London including:

 Provide daytime and evening access to services and organisations to young people.

 Employ local young people and services providers.

 Fund Research on various youth and community-related issues to help form a long-term strategy to address the reasons behind knife violence.
