    Story

Carefree Kids is dedicated to working together with local schools to provide weekly emotional support sessions for children experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties.

It also provides support for parents/carers. and designs and delivers bespoke training to adults in a range of settings, including parenting workshops and therapeutic responses for school staff.

Non-directive therapeutic play offers a child a safe space and a wide selection of play and arts materials, which they can use as they wish. By allowing children the freedom to play, explore, create and express themselves they develop a greater sense of self and can flourish.

Arts and talking therapies are often more appropriate for young people or parents/carers. We are careful to tailor our support to meet individual needs and choices.

Many thanks to those of you who have sponsored me in Aldersbrook's 24 hour Hitathon in aid of Carefree Kids; it.is much appreciated. Our Junior tennis players will be "hitting" for Carefree Kids on Saturday morning during their coaching sessions. Another Junior member has persuaded his mum to join us on Friday evening! Wonderful work! Our Carefree Kids volunteers will also be "hitting", dressed up as different Superheroes ... it's shaping up to be a fantastic 24 hours. Any donation to this worthwhile cause WILL make a difference. Thank you.

I'll be playing tennis or table tennis from midnight until 2am on Friday 21st June in Aldersbrook 's Tennis Club 24 hour Hitathon. Fingers crossed for dry weather! Carefree Kids is a great cause and very much in the public eye at the moment. As a retiree from teaching, we are only all to aware of the implications of mental health issues in schools, even from a very young age. Any contributions will help enormously. Many thanks Pat We have live bands on both evenings, please feel free to join us - as is entry!
