We would be delighted to accept any donations to our cause. Many thanks
Pat’s Party began in 2004 to commemorate the life of Pat Evans, a mother at the school who died prematurely. Its objective is to raise money for children in desperate and life threatening situations. There is a Summer Party, and a Bonfire Party: “mustn’t miss” family and community events.
How much has been raised so far?
Thanks to generous support from Ben Rhydding Primary School families, local businesses, and the broader community, Pat’s Party has donated approximately £100,000 to Save the Children. The money has saved and improved the lives of countless children across the UK and around the world.
Where will the 2017 funds go?
Many parents will recall that this year we set ourselves two fund raising tasks:
1. to build and equip a classroom in a Gambian village to be called the Pat Evans Classroom.
2. to continue our long term support for Save the Children.
Our successful Summer Party raised enough funds for the first project and now that the Gambian rainy season is over, work is to start on building the classroom. Profit from Pat’s Party Bonfire will go to Save the Children Emergency Appeal; situations in Myanmar and the Yemen, amongst other humanitarian tragedies, show the need is as great as ever.
