Story
So The Blister Sisters are doing the Cotswold Way Challenge on 1st July, basically this foolishness involves walking 100k continuously until we're done.
We want to raise funds for The Umbrella Club, the project was inspired by the daughter of a fellow Blister Sister, due to her own daughters hidden disabilities and experiences of social isolation and the daily challenges that she faces there is a clear need for this project.
The project aims to create an increased sense of belonging and access to a safe space for young people aged 10 - 19 with hidden disabilities. Young people are provided with the opportunity to gain new skills, gain better resilience and esteem, whilst building social and emotional capabilities, through the process of personal and social development.
Often a lack of understanding from the wider community can lead to bias, isolation and lack of opportunities for many young people, the project will provide the opportunity for young people to gain and develop new contacts and friends. This in turn will enable young people to become more involved and feel like part of their community.

7 years agoWe did it!🎉🎉🎉I think it's fair to say it was the toughest most brutal thing any of us have ever or will ever do again in our lives. We walked as a team, we supported each other and we kept each other going. We have blisters, bruises and aches and pains .... but we're still looking for our next challenge 😊 Thank you to all that have sponsored us so far, the page will be open for a while longer, so please if you can help is to reach our target and support the amazing young people that access The Umbrella Club.
