I found my big brother Paul passed away on the 24th of May at his home, Paul had fought for the past 3 years to regain custody of Jake and did everything in his power to do so, he separated from his ex-partner, set up a new home on his own with basically nothing but a bag of clothes to start with, he put his entire life in order made new friends and was loved by all the community in his new town and all of this to get his baby boy back where he belongs... with his Dad!

After all the fighting, turmoil and heartache, Paul did all this and won his baby boy back.

Unfortunately Paul was found laid on his bathroom floor sadly passed away, my nephew who was with him through all of this was found sat next to him refusing to leave his dad to come to the door when shouted

Jake must of been with him on his own for at least 3 days+ but yet survived by getting food and drink from the kitchen and bringing it back beside his dad to eat.

Once we broke into his home to find him, Jake kept repeating the sentence "Daddy been sleeping along time", oblivious to anything that was actually going on thinking his Dad is just sleeping.

We to this day have no idea how Paul had come to such fate as initially I thought would be a heart attack as that's how our mum died when I was 20 year old, his post mortem results reveal they cant find a cause of his death which just saddens my Jakes and my loss as we can't have any closure as yet.

I have made arrangements for Paul's funeral and his ashes will be scattered in the same place our Mums was as he had told me so many times before that he wished for that.

I have set up this page to fund a plaque to be laid so that Jake, myself and anyone who knew him could visit and pay there respects, if I'm honest its personally for Jake more than anything so he can visit his Dad now that he has rejoined our Mum & Dad in heaven.

I don't usually use these platforms but the costs of the plaques are beyond my means and I hope anyone who knew Paul and Jake or they touched there life's can help by giving anything they can manage no matter how small, I appreciate it and I know Jake would be eternally grateful.
