I am about the ride the infamous Stelvio Pass both in memory of baby Moana and her twin sister Holly. Although Moana didn't make it into this world she has certainly given her twin sister Holly so much strength and determination which she needed - born at only 31 weeks.

Holly has been cared for at Doncaster Royal Neonatal Unit and I would like to raise money for premature clothes and blankets for more special babies who will need their care. They have monitored Holly around the clock, supported Adam and Yazmin and ensured Holly went to Sheffield to receive life changing surgery. They have nurtured her into the gorgeous little girl she is today. Holly will be able to go home soon to her brother Logan and mummy and daddy thanks to their care and for that we will all be forever grateful.

So whats the challenge? At 9,045ft, on the border of Italy, the Stelvio Pass statistics are scary enough. The crazed road winds up via 35 of the tightest hairpins in a singe, unrelenting climb of 14 miles. It gains more that a vertical mile as it rears above Bornio to 2,757 metres, the second-highest paved pass in the Alps. Viewed from below, the road assembles a giant strand of spaghetti dropped from the heavens. My challenge is to cycle alone to the top - wish me luck!
