I NEED YOUR HELP 💖

It’s been 5 weeks since I left Cambodia and the Elma School where our group were teaching. We were there volunteering through an organisation called Bamboo. The school is charity run so volunteers work alongside the teachers to help the children learn English. The 400 children who attend the school are impoverished and many are orphans. However their desire to learn is shown by their endless enthusiasm, smiles and gratitude towards the volunteers who support them.

In the few weeks since we left, Paula (an amazing woman in our group) set up a breakfast program for the school and so far $3460 has been raised to support the program (the picture shows this up and running). It will cost around $40 US each year per child for this program to run. This is only around £28 😉

To support the program on 4th August I plan to climb Ben Nevis ⛰ 👟 🙏

I love to walk but have never tried doing this up a mountain. I hope some of you would consider sponsoring my climb. All the costs of the climb will be covered by me so your sponsorship will all be donated to the program.

My experience in Cambodia (where I helped build a toilet in a village with no sanitation) showed me how lucky we are. We take for granted that our basic needs are met every day. We never question that we have access to clean water, sanitation, regular meals, free education and health services.
