Over a period of 10 months; it was devastating to watch as this once proud, strong man wither away as the pain of cancer took hold and reduced him to a shell of his former self.

He sadly passed away on the 12th December 2016

His dying wishes were that his children should not have to deal with the pain of organising the funeral and associated costs when he was to pass. To that end he entrusted this responsibility to the executer of his will.

All funeral costs were arranged and put to one side for when the inevitable was to happen.

It is now 4 months down the line and the funeral costs are still outstanding. The executor of his will has had no intention of paying off the funeral and has kept all the funds for their own gain. This includes our Dads life insurance policy which the executor of his will has no right too.

All funeral costs have now been left for his children to pay.

It is disgusting and morally wrong that a person can defile a dying persons wishes this way.

Normally we would not do this sort of thing and we are doing it with a heavy heart, but we are reaching out in this way as I know our Dad had a lot of good friends in Shields, he was loved and respected by some. There were a lot of comforting words spoken during this hard time.

It feels as though he has not yet been laid to rest, and all we want to do is move on.
