Story
Brain Tumour Research and Support are a Leeds-based charity (http://www.btrs.org.uk/Home) that raises money to fund research into, and help support sufferers of, brain cancer.
Each year BTRS holds a Christmas Party, allowing children and families affected by a brain tumour to have an afternoon of fun, food and games. As part of the event, Santa comes with his sack full of presents to give to the children, making the afternoon extra special.
I am setting up this fund, as a brain tumour research scientist that has benefitted from the money raised by BTRS, and more importantly as a mum of two, to collect money to buy presents for this party. BTRS need new, unwrapped gifts for both girls and boys aged between one and 13 years old. Whatever I have collected by 24th Nov will be spent buying suitable gifts.
Merry Christmas

7 years agoA huge thank you to everyone that donated. It took three of us to carry all the presents to the charity and they were thrilled with the quality and range of pressies we were able to buy. Thanks so much. Merry Xmas xxx

7 years agoHi everyone. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the donations so far - we've totally smashed the target. Here is a list of the presents I have bought so far. I've tried to get a range of ages and gender-preferences. I am also getting a selection of batteries so that the kids can play with their new toys on the day if they are keen to crack them open :) Thanks again xxx

7 years agoI should point out that the presents will also be given to children attending the party because they are part of a family affected by a brain tumour (i.e. it might not be the child that is the patient)
