Story
I am going Sober for October to help raise funds for my son's football team.
Our 2009 boys would be delighted if they could get a trip to a football tournament outside of Aberdeen. They will remember this for years to come and while it will be mostly self-funded, a little help will go a long way.
As for me, I could probably do with a month off the booze but I can't remember the last time I went without a drink for longer than 5 days! Probably when I was pregnant 8 years ago...! For those who know me, this is going to be a tough month.
I'm going to follow the official rules of Sober October - one being that I am allowed one Golden Ticket (a night ON he booze!) if someone sponsors me a minimum of £15! I have a night out planned for 6th October so hopefully I'll have a generous friend somewhere.
