Raluca Moiseanu, our much-loved colleague and newly promoted leader of our Iasi NRE engineering site, tragically lost her life in a car accident which killed a total of seven people, including her husband.

Raluca's reach extended far beyond Iasi; she was exceptional, and enjoyed the respect and admiration of colleagues the world over. She brought an infectious excitement to all she did; she was so excited to be taking over the leadership of the Iasi site and make its new mission a success. The loss of such an esteemed colleague at such a young age is hard for everyone to bear, and particularly heartbreaking for her colleagues who have worked closely with her over the years.

Raluca leaves behind a daughter, Daria, aged 13. She is a very smart young woman and is currently being cared for by Raluca's family. They have been touched by the outpourings of grief expressed by family and friends, and colleagues and associates that Raluca worked with during her career.

We are working to find ways to commemorate and celebrate Raluca's legacy, at TiVo in Iasi, as well as the rest of the TiVo family elsewhere. We'll keep you posted.

TiVo is, in addition, setting up a fund for Daria to support her education and well-being as she grows up. Many colleagues in the UK and US and Iasi also asked to be able to add to this fund to support Daria's education and wellbeing over the next years. US employees are welcome to leave a contribution through this JustGiving site. When the JustGiving site closes, all contributions will be put into our EMEA HR leader's account, Penni Warburg-Rochman; this will be audited and passed over to Finance who will ensure these sums are added to Daria's Fund.

Sadly we cannot change what has happened, but as a TiVo family we can at least do this small thing to help support the person Raluca would most have wanted to support.
