This page has been set up in memory of Rebecca Louise Ortiz.

A dearly loved Mother, daughter, sister, cousin & friend to so many.

Rebecca's loss - so sudden & tragic was completely unexpected and has left those who's lives she touched, heartbroken. Rebecca was a caring, considerate woman who took it upon herself to inspire & comfort others, always putting them first.

Once you met Rebecca - you would not forget her! With her huge vivacious character, she lit up any room. An honest and compassionate woman who would make light of situation she came across.

The funds raised will go towards supporting Rebecca's family, those she loved passionately, at such a difficult time. Rebecca was a young, single mother, recently becoming self employed to build her business to provide a bright future for her and her daughter Alexia. She was a healthy woman who took care of herself (her body was her temple) & therefor this has taken us all by huge shock - Rebecca did not have funds aside like most for such an unpredicted financial burden.

All money raised will go towards Rebecca's immediate family to allow them to give Rebecca the send off she deserves & a place of memory.

Rebecca suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm, the hospital tried with their best efforts to save her with surgery, however sadly, the damage to her brain had been done. Her family clung on to the hope of Rebecca pulling through for 10 days. The staff at Salford Royal were amazing & we all cannot thank you enough for the support at such a difficult time. Rebecca took her last breath on Sunday 15th January 2017.

Words cant describe what a loss our lives will be without her but we take great comfort & pride in knowing that a part of Rebecca lives on. Rebecca had opted to be an Organ Donor -this is another example of what a kind and caring woman she was -& on her final journey that request was fulfilled, Rebecca gave hope & life to another family in need. We take great comfort in knowing this.
