Weʼre raising £750 to provide free period products to school children in south east London
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
The problem: in south east London, some girls are finding it difficult to access period products when they need them.
This should not be happening.
The solution: local communities fund a Red Box, in schools, filled with pads and pants for young people to take whenever they need them. The Red Box will support students through their entire period.
How does it work?
The Red Box is kept at school, with an adult students trust. Whenever young people need period products, they simply have to ask the the Red Box, and they can take whatever they need. Plain paper bags are included for discretion and clean underwear is provided. When stocks run low, we top them up again. It‘s that simple.
How much should I give?
£2 will buy a pack of pads to help a girl through a month.
£5 will buy a pack of pants for emergencies.
Thank you so much for your support.
