Weʼre raising £200 to help disadvantaged girls in Southend through their periods without embarrassment or missing school.
- Southend-on-Sea, UK
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
The problem: in Southend, some girls are finding it difficult to access sanitary products when they need them. This should not be happening.
The solution: women from the community sponsor a Red Box, in schools, filled with pads and pants. The Red Box will be a reliable source, and support disadvantaged women throughout their entire period.
How does it work? The Red Box is kept at school, with the Nurse or at Reception. Plain paper bags are included for discretion. When stocks run low, we top them up again. It‘s simple.
How much should I give?
£2 will buy a pack of pads to help a girl through a month.
£5 will buy a pack of pants for emergencies.
Thank you so much for your support.
