I am aiming to run 1,000 miles in 2018 in aid of the charity 'Remembering Reece'.

Sadly I lost my mum to cancer on 3rd January 2016 after an almost 6 year illness. During this time mum made the most of things and, despite the various phases of treatment, she still managed to go on holidays and spend time with the grandchildren she got to meet - holidays & children being two of her favourite things!

We all know that time with our loved ones is precious; even more so when that time may be limited and this is why I have chosen to support the charity 'Remembering Reece'.

'Remembering Reece' is a charity (charity status pending) founded by my friend Sarah and her family in honour of their young son. Reece was diagnosed with leukaemia on 3rd January 2016 and tragically passed away in September 2017, a few weeks before his 3rd birthday.

The charity aims to provide a holiday home for families of children facing cancer who may not otherwise be able to afford to get away - to give the opportunity for real quality time, to make memories and hopefully enjoy some respite from their situation.
